February Visitation Day

February Visitation Day

This past Sunday was visitation day! The last Sunday of every month is “visitation day” for KCS and Excel. This time we visited Isaac and Shema. We hope to see Theoneste in Musanze at Excel soon (2 hrs away). We are so happy to share that Isaac and Shema love their new school! The boys were excited to tell us all about their classes, routines, and that they get to play sports everyday after school. Isaac is the goalie for the football (soccer) team and Shema is on the Junior basketball team! They have games against other schools, so we hope to attend!

KCS had a teacher/parent meeting that we attended to learn more about the school. It was encouraging to hear how important Bible study and discipleship is to them. They have a course called School of Leadership and Discipleship. These are university students (some KCS grads) who they are teaching to evangelize and disciple. They take what they have learned and teach the kids that are boarding at KCS! The teachers and staff are very relationship driven and want to see the kids turn their hearts toward Christ by really counseling them during hard times. This is such a blessing!

We are thankful for our friend Edward who went and visited Theoneste on our behalf. The teachers said he is doing really well and is taking his studies seriously. He is the 2nd in command at the boarding house and has high responsibilities :).

Thank you for your prayers and support for Isaac, Shema, and Theoneste! We have high hopes that they will be successful this school year and most of all, they will grow deeper in their relationship with Christ.
